Varieties of proofs and essays
The essays and proofs during RSI period, were usually overprinted to satisfy philatelics and speculative demands ( see Chapter : Proofs and Essays ). That wasn't enough at speculators that created amazing varieties, also in this sector. It is not possible to think that the stamps overprinted with double or triple overprint were mada by a mistake, so I think that some varities were obtained voluntarily. In despite of that, I think this sector is one of the most fascinating of the history of RSI stamps.
